Note: To be able to evaluate learners your school needs to have grading set up as an option. If you do not see the actions that are mentioned in this article you might need to contact your administrator or LearnCove staff member in the Intercom chat window to make this feature available to you.
Evaluation can be added on two types of activities in Learncove, tasks and quizzes. Quizzes can either be evaluated automatically or manually depending on the setup of the quiz.
In this article we will focus on evaluation for tasks.
Assign the tasks to the learners you want to evaluate.
You can find further information on how to create a group and add content here: https://help.learncove.io/en/articles/71082-what-kind-of-content-can-i-add-to-groups-courses
When learners have turned in their work and you would like to evaluate them you can view their performance in two ways
a. Open the course and the topic you want to evaluate. From the progress tab inside the topic you have two views you can perform the evaluation from
In this view you can see which parts of the topic each learner has completed. When you press some activity you will get a popup where you are able to evaluate the topic
By pressing the "activities" tab you will be able to see the progress based on each activity if you rather want to evaluate the whole group for each activity at a time.
On the left side you will see all the activities that have been created in this topic and can open each of them to review the progress
If you have a task or a quiz you will get the option to grade the activity. You can either do that by pressing Multiple grading if you want to give multiple learners the same grade or simply press a single learner if you want to grade a particular individual.
If you click on one of the learners a popup will show up where you will be able to review the hand in and provide a grading. In the popup you can swap between the following tabs:
a) see all the attempts this learner has made
b) View additional material that you had provided the learner with
c) Provide a grade
d) View messages from the learner
To grade the learner you press the plus button next to Task evaluation
5. From that list you can choose the grade by pressing one of the circles (A, B+, B..) and leave a comment or a note for yourself. Note: The grading scale can be updated in school settings. There the admin can choose if this should be letters, numbers etc.
6. Lastly scroll to the bottom and press either Save and publish or save as draft
