How do I add a video to an existing course?

Open the course and open the topic you want to add the video into

If there are more than 6 activities in your topic you can press either details or activities tab to see all the activities

Press New activity

Choose Resource as your type of activity if you are only adding a video or some other type of content but not a quiz or a task where learners should turn something in

Choose a name for your activity. In the lower box you can manually enter the name for other languages. If you do not enter anything manually the platform will automatically use google translate for the other languages.

Press add main material

You can upload a video. Maximum size is 500 Mb. If you have a bigger video you can either compress it before adding it or upload it to YouTube or Vimeo and attach that link. Both YouTube and Vimeo offer the option of not having it searchable on Vimeo/YouTube.

If You upload a YouTube/Vimeo video make sure to select the video in the dropdown

If you scroll down you should see it added to the list of added material and at the bottom right you should see a save button to save the video.

The cover photo of the activity automatically becomes the thumbnail of the video. To make the video available for your learners press Publish.
