Definition: Multiselect Item
A Multiselect item is a multiple-response question type (general category) in LearnCove where learners can choose more than one correct option from a list (distinguishing feature). Unlike Checkbox items, the options in a Multiselect question are displayed in a drop-down list, providing a compact and streamlined interface.
This format is ideal for:
Procedural steps (e.g., identifying all required stages of a process)
Safety checks (where several precautions may apply)
Compliance-related actions (requiring multiple correct acknowledgments)
Preparation:
Before creating a Multiselect item, ensure that:
A Checklist Activity has already been created.
The creator has access to the Question tab within the activity.
How to: Create a Multiselect Item
Navigate to the Question tab and click the Add button.
From the list of available item types, select Multiselect.
Enter your content into the Question Text field. (This field is required.)
Fill the answer option in the Answers section, in needed add the additional option using "Add more" button. (there can be up to 10 options)
Click "Save" to finish creating the question.

Once saved:
The Multiselect item will appear in the Checklist activity.
Learners will see the question presented in a drop-down list format.
Learners can select multiple responses from the available options.
Their selected answers will be stored as part of their activity progress and results.
This format is especially effective when presenting longer answer lists or working with limited screen space, ensuring a clean and efficient learner experience.
