Definition:
A Missing Words Question is a quiz question type where users complete a sentence or paragraph by filling in the blanks with the correct word or phrase. This format is useful for checking understanding of key terms, definitions, or concepts by placing them in context. It helps assess how well users can recall and apply information within a structured sentence.
Preparation:
Create a Quiz activity.
The creator should open the "Question" tab inside the quiz.
How to create a question:
Click on the “Add” button in the creation section.
Choose the “Missing words question” type from the proposed types of questions.
Type the question inside the “Question text” area. (the "Using missing words" option selected by default)
Click on the “Missing words” field in the “Answer options” section.
Select the words that will be used to answer and close the list.
Click on the “Save” button to save the created “Missing words question” type.
Result:
The Missing Words Question will be added to your Quiz activity. As you create the question, the Preview section will show how it currently appears, allowing you to check and adjust the blanks and answer options before saving.
