Definition:

An Image Question is a quiz activity type that incorporates visual content-such as photos, diagrams, or illustrations, into the question prompt, the answer choices, or both. It is designed to support visual learning and enhance engagement, particularly in subjects that require users to identify, interpret, or analyze images. This format allows creators to present information in a visually driven way and can be customized using advanced settings like answer explanations and scoring options.

Preparation:

  • Create a Quiz activity.

  • The creator should open the "Question" tab inside the quiz.

How to create a question:

  1. Click on the “Add” button in the creation section.

  2. Choose the “Image question” type from the proposed types of questions.

  3. Type the question inside the “Question text” area.

  4. Click on the “Add image” button on the “Answer options” section.

  5. Drag the image into the “Drag and Drop” area.

  6. Click on the “Save” button when the image is uploaded.

  7. Upload the images to the next answer options.

  8. Upload the images to the next answer options.

  9. Click on the toggle to indicate which answer is correct.

  10. Add the description under the uploaded images.

  11. Click on the “Save” button to save the created “Image question” type.

Result:

The “Image Question” type is successfully created within the Quiz activity. As the question is being built, the Preview section displays its current state, allowing creators to visually review and refine the content before saving or publishing.
